Our driver Junior was great. Very warm, knowledgeable and entertaining.The tour had too many stops. We didnt get to the crater until late afternoon. First we toured the town, then we stopped at a candy company, then a waterfall that was nothing special, then a macadamia nut farm for lunch-finally the crater. We spent more time driving and visiting unnecessary places than I bargained for. The folks from the ship had a similar tour and were able to spend more time at the crater area and loved it.

This was a great tour. Our guide was one of the best ones out of all our island excursions. He was born and raised in Hilo so he knew a great deal about the islands. He stopped many places for us to get out and see everything. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see a lot of the sights on Hilo.

Large coach tour = waiting to get off the bus and waiting to get back onto the bus. Very limited time allowed at each destination - even more limited when people are late returning to the bus. Would have preferred more time at waterfall and volcano national park than visiting the macadamia plant and orchid farm. Visited the main lookouts at volcanoes only - nil opportunity to further the adventure.
