We had gotten this cruise for 4 as a gift so we picked the sunset Dolphin cruise. We did this with our 2 teens. Boarding was easy and the boat was not crowed at all, perhaps the time of year had a little to do with that. we left the dock and went maybe 300 yards out and stayed there going in a circle for @ 20-30 mins looking at a few Dolphins that kept surfacing. During this time the Captain did talk a bit about Dolphins and the immediate area, but a lot of times he kept saying he wasn't sure of the things he was saying. after this we went over to another area and saw some more Dolphins and just coasted along.
Several things I found to be annoying. The captain who kept telling us about the Dolphins and the area also kept saying things like He had heard and He wasn't sure. Now He is SUPPOSED to be our tour guide on this cruise and he isn't sure about the information he is telling us, really?? Also its a slow ride. the 90 or so minutes after a while dragged on. The Dolphins don't get that close to the boat, maybe 100ft and all we really saw was the top fins, so after a while this became boring and there isn't anything to do on the boat except look at the sunset. My 2 teens even after a while became a bit stir crazy from doing nothing, my son eventually fell asleep on the bench.
All in all i would have to give this an below average rating. between the lack of information and poor delivery of the Captain's Tour guide talk, the lack of things to really see, the lack of anything to really keep you you interested for the 90 minutes of the cruise. its an OK cruise for a couple to relax on, but i really would not recommend it for a family
