Thank you to our guide, Carolyn, for a wonderful birthday celebration! We learned a few things about Annapolis and got to sample some amazing food! We had things we wouldn't normally order, but will definitely return to try again. This tour was a great combination of history, sampling and just the right amount of walking to make room for the next restaurant stop. Carolyn was enthusiastic and clearly passionate about history and the city of Annapolis. The only thing I was slightly disappointed with was the ice cream stop for dessert. I would have liked cake or pie and a place with some Annapolis history. Maybe Smith Island cake? In fairness, my group wasn't totally in agreement on this opinion. Half loved the ice cream. half agreed with me.

Carolyn was our tour guide. She was friendly and knew a lot about the area and history. I believe she teaches history too. We had 4 stops and the tour lasted 4 hours almost. We had a sampler platter at the first place and it contained 3 appetizers. I think it was at Galway Bay. One appetizer was like a crab cake but not as fried and not flat. Another was crab meat wrapped in lettuce. The third item was some kind of meat. It was a nice dish. The next stop was Harry Browns and we had the she crab soup. It's so delicious, very rich and filling. I couldn't eat much of the fresh calamari. The last stop was a pub looking place and we had bruschetta but it was in the shape of a mini pizza. This was my least favorite stop. The bruschetta contained feta cheese and too much oil for my liking. The crust was good. The final stop was a local ice cream shop. I got the vegan coconut chocolate chip ice cream. It was decent. The place was packed and practically nobody wore a mask. I didn't like sitting in the shop, especially since it was so small. Overall, the food was good and Carolyn provided a wealth of history about the area.

Our tour guide Carolyn was outgoing, dramatic, a fast walker, and enthusiastic-- full of information about this history of the area. Our group had a lot of history buffs but we were a bit overwhelmed by the amount of history presented. The first food stop was about 45 minutes into the tour. When you've planned on this as lunch, that wasn't expected. We would have appreciated less information on all of the individual houses we passed and the ability to enjoy the food without more information. The four food stops were all excellent, portions large and all delicious. Our three hour tour was much longer than we had planned (about an hour) and it impacted our ability to pursue further investigation of the town.
