Rainbow Row

The longest Pre-Revolutionary structure in America is one of Charleston's most iconic historical sites. These 18th century homes are painted in a variety of colors thus the name, "Rainbow Row."

Charleston Waterfront Park

Historic Waterfront Battery is a great place for photos as you will see southern mansions, cannons, cannon balls, palmettos, incredible views of Fort Sumter and so much more.

Charleston City Market

You will see everything from beautiful cobblestone streets and custom Iron Gates as well as an incredible collection of 18th and 19th-century architecture, including a large number of distinctive Charleston single houses. These houses are typically a single room in depth, and oriented with the short access toward the street, with the entrance area on a long side in the alley. Excellent tour with knowledgeable guide. He was full of interesting facts and considerately found us shady places to stand, which was much appreciated in such a warm, humid climate. The tour lasted almost 2 hours and was a good way to get introduced to charming Charleston.

Our starting point was at our hotel, so it was super convenient. We hesitated about the cost, $25/person, but it was worth every penny! We have visited Charleston several times, but this tour was the best. Suzanne was our guide and she was so knowledgeable about the historic significance of Charleston and all the places we visited. Her personal touch and sense of humor made this our favorite tour. Thank you Suzanne!
