Two hour fully guided and narrated tours of Hilo Bay depart the pier behind KapohoKine Adventures store. Join our knowledgeable and lifeguard certified guides as we explore the history of this intriguing area, from the surprising history of Moku Ola (coconut island) to the changes our dynamic landscape has made to Hilo town. We’ll mosey along tranquil rivers and explore hidden waterfalls, beaches, and a hydroelectric plant, all the while keeping an eye out for friendly honu. Take a refreshing dip if you’d like before heading back to shore. Water and light snack provided.

Wonderful trip with Andre! Best experience on a 10-day vacation. Learned a lot, laughed, kayaked and filled the soul. Highly recommend.

We took this tour. When I called to inquire I was told that the bay was really calm because of the seawall. What I wasn't told was that the tour goes past the seawall to where the ocean waves come in so we'd have to time the waves and our paddling so that we don't crash into the bridge piers. We had to turn back. 2 people, one hour, 300 bucks. If you're an experienced kayaker take the tour but then again....if you're that experienced you don't need the tour.

Our guide, Montana, was very knowledgeable about the area and the sea life in the area. We were lucky enough to see a sea turtle during the trip. It was fun and different to be able to see Hilo from the water instead of only walking around. The only reason I am giving this trip a 4 instead of the 5 is weather related.
