Great walking tour. Guide was extremely knowledgeable. Learned about the history of Memphis including the early history, Civil War, Yellow Fever pandemic, the development of the blues right up to MLK’s assassination and the civil rights era. Highlight was the duck March at the Peabody Hotel.

This is a wonderful tour. My husband and I had only 2 days to spend in Memphis and wanted to pack as much as possible of the city’s flavor into that brief time, so a walking tour seemed ideal. Shannon was our guide and a lovely, knowledgeable guide she is . Her presentation was interesting and appealing, her friendliness and good humor so endearing, she made our group feel very connected to the city and so engaged in its history. We hit the high spots on Beale St, gazed at iconic buildings as well as Elvis and BB King lore, saw cute ducks marching into the fantastic Peabody Hotel fountain, then finished with the sad but oh so inspiring story of MLKs march and subsequent assassination. Highly recommended!
