Overview

Set sail on the west coast of Hawaii Island for a 3-hour cruise to Captain Cook’s Monument for dinner, as a local historian shares stories and legends of the sites you will see along the way. What To Expect

Kailua Pier

Boarding is 30 minutes prior to departure. Guests are greeted with Island Style Pupus (Appetizers), a complimentary cocktail, Historical Narration and live Hawaiian style music.

Kealakekua Bay

Cruise 24 miles round trip along Kona's Gold Coast learning Hawaiian history, stories, and legends. The narrator will point out many landmarks along the way to Kealakekua Bay that are not visible from land. The narration concludes upon arrival to the bay and dinner is served. The cruise back to the Kailua Pier features live Hawaiian style music, gorgeous vistas of the Kona coastline and sunset.

We did the dinner cruise on July 1st 2021. Our experience was really nice and was great to hear some music. The tour narrator was also informative and learned quite a lot about Hawaii. The staff were also nice and friendly. They made sure we were safe and well taken care of during our boat tour. I think one thing that could use some variety was the food options. It was great to have ribs, but maybe a chicken option or even vegetarian would be nice. Other than that, it was a nice and memorable experience. The sunset was really nice. We even got to see some dolphins at the end of our tour. That was awesome!

We agree that hearing great music while cruising our incredible coastline is pretty great! And, dolphins and a really nice sunset adds a nice touch to a great evening! For our valued readers our menu is as follows: Mauna Loa macadamia nuts to start, locally grown green salad with tomatoes, cucumber and red onion with house made papaya vinaigrette seed dressing, Kiawe BBQ Ribs, Thai Coconut Curry (vegetarian), jasmine rice and locally made coconut dinner rolls. We top it off with cheesecake with lilikoi glaze for dessert. The dinner is prepared in our Body Glove Cruises' kitchen by our amazing Executive Chef Jose and Chef Maria and is plated on board and served by our wonderful crew. Everything was so enjoyable. Trip and weather were perfect. Staff was very attentive. Musician and The Historian were very entertaining. I have taken three similar trips on other islands and this by far was the best!!!
