My family and I recently enjoyed Body Glove's dinner cruise very much. I am a local concierge and have lived here in the islands since I was 11 years old. My husband is a tour guide on the island and we were both very inpressed by the delightful evening. For starters, we were greeted by Brannon who was friendly, checked us in and gave us 2 free drink tickets. The drinks were nice and strong. We sat on the upper part of the boat and truly enjoyed the coastline view of the island as a local historian narrated the history and culture of the island. My husband who is a huge history enthusiast shared she was right on point. The narration was interspersed with live and lovely Hawaiian music by a local artist - Bula. My husband even bought one of his CDS. The Crew on board was incredibly attentive helping us and even offering to help carry plates to our seats. The appetizers were excellent! The Lomi Lomi was delicious and fresh. I usually don't eat Lomi lomi because it is usually made with samon, but it was made with fresh Ahi and so yummy! The main meal was also equally delicious and for us very authentic to the locals like us. I will definitely be encouraging all my guests who come to stay at my resort to add this activity to their vacation since Kona is pretty quiet at night. My husband will also be able to tell his guests what a wonderful experience our family had. Thank you Chris Grossi for making that happen for us :)

This is a typical tourist cruise. The food was average, the crew was average, the music was average... the woman who narrated the first part of the cruise about the Hawaiian history and legends was very good. It was a nice night and the sunset was beautiful. Meh.

This cruise was so fun! My husband and I had seen Body Glove sail past our condo rental one evening. We checked out the kiosk the next day while shopping in downtown Kona. It’s in the same building as the shaved ice store. Frank was fun to talk to and very informative. We bought 2 tickets and sailed a couple nights later. It was an awesome cruise! Your first drink is free and we had a Mai Tai, delicious and totally loaded! We enjoyed listening to beautiful live Hawaiian music while sailing gently up the coast to Captain Cook. My husband has a tendency to get sea sick but had no issues on the Body Glove. We sat on top and the view of the coast was beautiful. The narrator of the Hawaiian history and culture was great and just enough info not to get boring. The appetizers and dinner food were delicious. The staff, especially Jonah, were so helpful in taking our plates for us when we were challenged with walking on a moving boat with hands full. We would definitely do this again! I would highly recommend this dinner cruise! We have been to Big Island 4 times and so happy we did this cruise during this vacation! Heads up- bring plenty of cash or a credit card because after the one free drink, the alcoholic drinks are expensive. Non alcoholic are free.
