I was on the 10/27/18 dinner cruise. My sister in law and I arrived much too early but there was an ABC Store by the pier as well as a shave ice shop inside the hotel by the pier for us to spend time at inside. If we had wanted to there were other shops nearby to walk to. Body Glove had a wonderful tent set up with chairs by their slip that allowed us to just relax and watch the beautiful scenery. The crew, historian, and music performer were amazing. The crew went out of their way to be helpful. Even offered us water while we waited for check in. On the way to the Captain Cook Monument a school of dolphins was spotted. The captain slowed the boat and turned it several times so that we all had an opportunity to see them. We ran into a different pod on the way back. My only do better wish would be parking at the pier or a shuttle that would take you from the Body Glove office to the pier and back. Having to walk a block and half to and from the venue to be able to park for free at the Body Glove office is a bit for especially for the handicapped or people that are not used to walking in heat and humid weather. I was fine since I'm from southern Indiana and walk 12 hours each night for my job, but I came across a couple of the "ohana" that were on my cruise that had to stop to rest on the way back to the parking lot. I left my travel mate at the ABC Store and walked alone back to the parking lot.

Aloha Carolyn D, We really appreciate this review. Thanks so much for sharing your experience with us. It is true that parking can be tricky here in Kailua-Kona, and we do our best. There is closer parking to the pier available, but our office parking lot offers the closest FREE parking, which is why we bring it to all our guests' attention in the confirmation email we send out with each booking, as well as over the phone. It is approximately a five minute walk (usually less) to the pier from our parking lot though, so if anyone in a party has mobility challenges it is best to drop them off at the Kailua Pier and then come up to park. Also, we have two handicapped parking spaces on the pier available, so if your party has a handicapped placard in your rental car, let us know and we can arrange to have you park right in front of our boat on the pier itself. We do dream of offering a shuttle service ourselves to spare folks the few-minutes walk, but just haven't gotten there yet. In the meantime, we will continue to make efforts to make the process as streamlined as possible! Thank you for letting us know the good and the bad in this five-star review. So kind! Mahalo, The Body Glove Cruises Team
