The Tour was led by Shawn, a historian with an amazing love and passion for history and great talent for storytelling. He was an awesome guide, who made this windy and very chilled night one to remember! The history of the city of Salem since the spices trade to the witches trials, and how it became “Witch City”, came alive before our eyes as he explained the importance of numerous old buildings still standing; we visited Town Hall, Bewitched Statue, Allison’s House, Burying Point Cemetery, Witch House, and Ropes Mansion, just to name a few. The Manchester Hotel and the Witches Trials memorial were some of my fave spots. I recommend taking this tour to anyone visiting Salem, Massachusetts.
