Hoh Rain Forest and Rialto Beach Guided Tour in Olympic National Park

Overview
This 9 Hour Tour begins with a two-hour shuttle into the Hoh Rain Forest, one of the largest temperate rain forests in the contiguous USA. At the Hoh Rain Forest, guests typically have two full hours to explore the Hall of Mosses and Spruce Nature Trail on a Naturalist Guided Hiking Tour. Our guide will overview the natural history of the Hoh Rain Forest, identify various micro-plants, and showcase the top viewing areas. The endless moss-laden scenery and towering old-growth evergreens are breathtaking.

After a scheduled stop in Forks, we spend the afternoon on the Pacific Coast at Rialto Beach. At Rialto, guests generally have one or two hours to explore this beautiful section of wilderness coast amongst massive sea stacks, driftwood logs, and the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean. Overall, guest can expect 3-4 hours of sightseeing with about 4-5 hours of drive time roundtrip from our Port Angeles meet-up location.

I was very lucky to have Tommy planned a magical experience for me as a private tour (after the season was over - I appreciate it very much) to enjoy absolutely fantastic Hoh Rain Forest, magical Rialto Beach, and amazing view from a comfortable passenger seat along 112, 113, 110, 101 and other roads. Tommy planned every detail of my trip starting from Seattle, Bainbridge island and port Angeles, helping booking a hotel for me, covering the lunch - the sandwich was the best ever, thanks for offering it, and then making sure I am on time for my flight back to Dallas from Seattle. Tommy knew exactly when there was a low tide so we could go to the Hole-in-the-Wall on the Rialto beach. He was aware of all constructions/road closures so no time was wasted waiting. I would never be able to do so much in one day without Tommy's fabulous planning skills and helpful suggestions - he was indeed a partner in creating my adventure. His promptness in replying to all my questions and stress free experience makes it absolutely fabulous and must do tours. It is my second time with Olympic Hiking Co. and I would do it again without blinking twice - it is fun, cool, unforgettable experience. Thank you Tommy from all my heart!

This was our first trip to Olympic National Park. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and Dana and Tommy great tours, services and attentions made it extra special. Tommy gave me all the info and tips I needed in order to plan for a struggle free vacation ahead of our trip from Seattle. Their services and offered tours are perfect for a family traveling with a young kid. Dana is very knowledgeable and was super patient and nice with our little boy, who at the end wanted to take her home with us! The pick up location, schedules, picnic sandwiches, van and knowledge are very good. The tours start times' make it easy to join for people traveling from Seattle by ferry on the same day. My only suggestion would be for Dana to wear a microphone when driving, since when sitting at the back of the van, her explanations of the plans ahead can be inaudible if other passengers are chatting at the same time.

We had an absolutely great experience this week going on the Hoh Rain Forest and Rialto Beach tour with Dana. Since we were traveling with out our own car and visiting in Victoria -- we were struggling to figure out how to manage a day trip to Olympic National Park. This company couldn't have been more helpful -- the owner Tommy quickly answered my logistics questions via email and his advice was completely on point. We took the 10:30 am ferry from Victoria, met up with Dana and her van very near the ferry terminal and were off on the tour. Absolutely thrilled to be able to do this. Dana was a delight -- full of information and just the right combination of talkativeness and silence -- you don't often get that with a tour guide. The pre-ordered picnic sandwiches were perfect as well. Thanks for a great experience and assistance in helping us enjoy this magnificent park considering our limitations on time and logistics.
