How to better explore Tinseltown than to allow yourself to be a peeping Tom for a couple of hours? Ultimate Hollywood Tours is perfect for this purpose. Our guide was witty and had an encyclopedic knowledge of movies, directors, actors and general Hollywood trivia. We drove to a viewpoint where we could see the Hollywood sign and then started our star's homes tour. If you have any favorite actor/actress in mind...if they have a home in Hollywood or Beverly Hills, they'll show it to you. Of course, bear in mind that of some homes you only see the front gate...but you can only hope it suddenly opens. Definitely recommended!

We made reservations online for this tour the morning of, mostly because it is the only tour that offers a time after 5 PM. This was necessary since I am here on business. The email sent after purchase gave great directions to the church parking lot ($5) and mentioned that they did in fact meet on a corner for loading (not a store front). We got Doug as a tour guide and he was great! Very friendly, funny and engaging. We saw plenty of stars houses along side the beautiful (!!!) views of the Hollywood Hills! Doug took us down into Beverly Hills, showed up Rodeo Drive and even pointed out some paparazzi waiting for a celeb at an upscale restaurant. I think the 6:30 tour was a great option as you got to see everything in the daylight as well as at night. We are from Texas and ignored the other Tripadvisors stating that you should take a jacket. YOU SHOULD!! Although the temps were wonderful, once you are in the open air bus whipping through the hills the wind sure does get chilly. One other suggestion ladies: take a hair tie! Doug was great and since we were the last tour of the night he dropped us (all ladies) off at the parking lot so we didn't have to walk in the dark! Overall, great experience. Most for your money. Cliche in the funnest way!

We enjoyed the guilty pleasures of sneaking a peek at the lives of the rich and famous. The tour was a terrific way to see much of the Hollywood Hills and Beverly Hills in a short time. I especially appreciated the stop on Mulholland Drive for the city views. Our tour guide Geoff was entertaining and filled with good stories (some of which I suspect were tall tales, but who cares? It was all in good spirits). He told us a lot about celebrity sightings but unfortunately, there were no celebrities to be found during our tour. Can't blame him for that! I really appreciated the fact that the open-air van had a canopy to protect from the sun. Definitely recommended!
