My friend and I were walking along the walk of fame when we were advertised this tour and decided to go on it. The man who advertised it told us that the tour van would depart at 4:15. Around 4 p.m. we realized that we had forgotten to pay our parking meter where we had parked. One of the van drivers offered to drive us to the car and back, which was about 10 blocks away, so we could pay the meter really quick. It was a 4 minute drive each way, meaning we would get back in time for the tour. The manager wouldn't let the driver take us and was stalling and saying "the van will be here any minute". I said "yeah but doesn't it leave at 4:15?" We then gave him the exact address of the car, which was on El Centro Ave right off Hollywood Boulevard, and he offered to pay the meter for us. As soon as he saw me pull out a couple dollars to give to him to pay the meter, for some reason he suddenly changed his mind and told us that citation officers stop ticketing on Hollywood Boulevard after 4 pm. This sounded like a blatant lie, and sure enough when we returned to our car after the tour, we had a $63 parking ticket that had been issued at 4:45 p.m. The manager not only was shifty and entirely unhelpful, but he took advantage of us being tourists and not knowing the ins and outs of LA ticketing and blatantly lied to us, which was entirely unnecessary and uncalled for. Manager, I know you'll read this, so if you'd like to remedy this, you can refund me in full for the two adult tickets that my friend and I paid for.

Fact: The Hollywood traffic officers are all the time on the hunt for expired meters; from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm. We never tell customers that they will not get a ticket if their meter expires. Maybe you took another company's tour because we never get involved in parking situations except to direct them to the nearest public parking lot.
