What To Expect
1
Horseshoe Bend
Superheated rock in the earth’s mantle pushed the crust upward with such force that it cracked. A 240,000 square mile chunk of it was thrust upward. That’s the Colorado Plateau we’re standing on today. All of this happened in the blink of an eye — well, geologically speaking. To us, the transformation was agonizingly slow, taking hundreds of thousands of years. Note: This 0.2+mile-long tour covers the essentials of Horseshoe Bend in 1-2 hours Buy once, use for one year! Ideal for extended visits and return trips over the next 12 months.
2
Glen Canyon Dam Overlook
Page is one of the youngest towns in America, dating back to only 1957. But why build a town out here at all? Well, the whole thing exists because of Glen Canyon Dam.
3
Hanging Gardens Trail
This is the trailhead for Hanging Gardens Trail, offering a welcome oasis from the harsh desert. This easy, 1.2-mile out and back trail which ends with a surprising burst of greenery.
4
Carl Hayden Visitor's Center
We’ve arrived at the Carl Hayden Visitor Center. But, more importantly, this is your chance to get an up-close look at the Glen Canyon Dam! Feel free to hop out of your car and walk along the dam for some incredible views of the river far below
5
Waterholes Canyon
It’s called Waterhole Canyon. Erosion from water and wind has carved the canyon walls into a wild, curving pattern you simply have to see in person.
6
Antelope Canyon
You might not think ā€œbright colorsā€ when you think of a canyon, but that’s just what you’ll get in Antelope Canyon. This wild, twisting slot canyon is Instagram-famous for a reason. The wind-carved sandstone walls look like something out of a dream, and the sunlight filtering down from above casts the whole thing in a fabulous red glow.
