What To Expect

Black Hills National Forest

Once the balloon is ready, you’ll gently take to the skies for an approximate 1-hour flight over the Black Hills National Forest. If you are new to ballooning, you’ll be surprised at the silence and serenity you’ll find high above the treetops. It’s truly magical. Upon landing, the ground crew will pack the balloon while you and your pilot celebrate the flight with complimentary champagne, light snacks and a story about the origin of hot air ballooning. Flights depart at sunrise and are weather dependent and always at the discretion of your experienced pilot.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

The top to ground view was amazing and the landing was ‘pillow soft’. A nicely run and well coordinated operation. Balloon pilots Mike and Damian were warm and engaging. Very happy to make the ballooning experience a part of our visit to the Black Hills!

Great ride with excellent ground crew and pilot. Loved every minute! Damien was entertaining and informative ( our pilot) and the post ride ceremony with food and drink was perfect to keep us occupied while the ground crew got the balloons packed up.

Tha Air Balloon ride was fantastic. We recommend it to all. We are retirement age and young children were on another balloon. It is great for all. Also our pilot was great. Funny, knowledgeable, and truly a nice man. You have to go and do it!!
