You may spot elk, antelope, deer and buffalo and maybe even an elusive mountain lion. What To Expect

Black Hills National Forest

Once the balloon is ready, you’ll gently take to the skies for an approximate 1-hour flight over the Black Hills National Forest. If you are new to ballooning, you’ll be surprised at the silence and serenity you’ll find high above the treetops. It’s truly magical. Upon landing, the ground crew will pack the balloon while you and your pilot celebrate the flight with complimentary champagne, light snacks and a story about the origin of hot air ballooning. Flights depart at sunrise and are weather dependent and always at the discretion of your experienced pilot.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Amazing & relaxing! Our pilot/navigator Mike was the perfect pick! He explained everything, knowledge of ballooning & had quite a sense of humor.

We just got back from our ride with views of the SD black hills. Mike was a great pilot and the crew was very nice and friendly. We have ridden in hot air balloon rides previously with the only disappointment we experience is the number of passengers. We had three people in our compartment in the basket. No elbow room and I have no pictures that don't have people we don't know in. I would have paid more to have "more elbow" room.

Thanks for your feedback. Our two largest balloons are certified to carry up to 12 passengers...but often we only carry 8-10 in each. They are snug but by design. A snug fit is always a better option IF we have a bit of a bumpy landing. We're so sorry it felt tight. For reference, we do offer private flights. Just call for details.
