Tour guide Jenn was fantastic! We toured multiple plantation homes and the property here was by far the best grounds we have seen. Jenn shared lots of history and the property owners desire to share the history with the public. Great tour and will share with others. From Baton Rouge and will share with others.

This was an interesting tour and we enjoyed it but unfortunately it rained on our visit so the garden was hard to tour. Our tour guide was Patrick, and he did an amazing job storytelling and answering any questions anyone had. Although, we did try the restaurant and it was good but maybe not worth the price of some of the entree’s.

I took my Mom, Dad and sister on a weekend trip to see the River Road plantations. Houmas house was the one my mom wanted to see the most. We saved the best for last! This house was gorgeous with 600 year old live oaks and beautiful gardens and grounds. The tour was the most informative and interesting one we have ever had and I have been to A LOT of plantation and antebellum homes. My sister lives in Natchez so we have seen our fair share. Our guide Sammy was adorable and so knowledgeable. I asked her questions I had asked at other homes that had no answer but she quickly answered every one. The tour was based on the history of the house and the owners. Best one I’ve done yet!! Highly recommend. Oak alley needs to take notes from this house.
