I have taken several Hop-On Hop-Off bus tours over the years, and this is by-far the worst. Every bus I've been on in other locations have seats inside the bus, if customers get too hot/cold being on the top. This one did not, and Houston gets very hot and humid in the summer, so I don't know why they wouldn't have that. They only had 3 times available on a Saturday. My friend and I did the last tour. I thought that even though they wouldn't have busses starting from the headquarters after that, that they would still have busses coming around to the stops so we could get off and explore. Nope! It was a Hop-On only tour...yet we still had to pay full price ($35). Every bus I've been on also has handed out headphones so you can hear the driver/recordings. This one only had a speaker at the top of the bus, which made it very difficult to hear with all the sounds of traffic.

We took a 10:00 tour on April 19. This was a most informative introduction to downtown Houston. Our guide, Carmen, was very knowledgeable. You could sense her love and pride of her city. Put this trip on your ā€œto doā€ list when coming to Houston.
