We booked this tour on our family reunion because of the picture shown. It was the hottest days of the summer and we understood it was going to be hot but because the picture showed a shaded area, we figured that those that did not like the sun could get under the shade. We were shockingly surprised the vehicle provided for the tour was not at all like the pictured one. The seats were on the top of a bus with no option for any shade. After 15 minutes, we could not take the sun. We had seniors on this trip and some of them began feeling the start of a heat stroke. We asked the driver to stop the tour and we returned to the office and informed them of the situation. The staff did not offer us a partial refund. They basically washed their hands and said there was nothting that could be done. We definitely will not be taking any Viator tours in the future.

Friendly tour guide but details on Sam Houston were a bit skimpy, when mentioning a war it's helpful to know who he was fighting, i.e. the Spanish, small details bring it alive. It was easy to get smacked in the face by a tree branch on top of the double-decker bus. The website stated 10:15am tour start time, however when I phoned the tour center they said 10:00. Overall was informative however.
