The Seawall

During your time in Galveston, enjoy close to three hours on your own to explore. You can purchase lunch in the historic Galveston Strand district then stroll the shops and soak in the small town’s ambiance. Visit the Galveston Seawall, a 10-mile levee with breathtaking views of Galveston Bay. The tour was great. My advice would be to allow some time at the beach in Galveston instead of the entire 2.5 hours at the shops. Perhaps shorten lunch and the shops to 1 hour and then drive the passengers back to the beach for 1.5 hours. It's Galveston so I wanted time on the beach.

The day started with a tour of downtown Houston on an open top bus. It was informative. Only problem was the weather. It was too hot. The drive to Galveston was smooth. Our guide recommended Katie’s seafood and it was amazing! Fresh catch of the day, we’ll prepared. The dolphin ride was great fun.

The Houston city tour was worth it for explorung instead of trying to find your way around. We also did a day trip at Galveston and got to view the dolphins
