The Seawall

After touring central Houston with your knowledgeable guide, transfer to a comfortable bus that takes you on a 55-minute drive to reach Galveston, a historic town located on the Gulf of Mexico. During your time in Galveston, enjoy close to three hours on your own to explore. You can purchase lunch in the historic Galveston Strand district then stroll the shops and soak in the small town’s ambiance. Visit the Galveston Seawall, a 10-mile levee with breathtaking views of Galveston Bay. I Throughout the day, learn from the informative commentary provided by your guide while a professional driver handles the navigation. You get to relax as you see iconic sites and learn about the history of Houston, Galveston and Texas during a fascinating 6-hour tour (including travel time to and from attractions.) It was a very nice experience, it started on the city tour, on the double-decker bus, the city looked spectacular, at each point he stopped a little to explain the history and be able to take photos. Then we moved to Galveston, a beautiful Victorian-style city, ideal for taking a lot of photos.

I can highly recommend this tour! First you sit on top of a tour bus and get a 90 minute tour and history of the city, with it’s beautiful buildings, art, parks and attractions. Our tour guide, Antonio, entertained us with his knowledge, humor and great story telling. I learned so much! The second portion of our tour was a ride to Galveston on an indoor bus. We were surprised to learn so much history to this beach town. Our tour guide, Carmen, was equally knowledgable, warm, and interesting. We made a few stops to learn about the area and had a great lunch of fresh seafood at a restaurant on the bay. It was wonderful. We were only visiting Houston for two days and this was a great way to learn about the area. If you have a day, you will not regret this tour.

I love the fact that i was able to combine two things i wanted to do. I got the city tour of houston, but i got the smaller more intimate trip of Galveston that hit the major highlights as well. Only downtown is no hopping off to take pictures or the i love houston sign
