A friend and I wanted to be tourists in our own city for the day and try some new restaurants and Taylor was a great guide. Very considerate. I think as she does the tour longer she will be able to add more depth to the history side of things, she had a good grasp of basics.

Taylor was fantastic and very knowledgeable about history and local facts !! Great must do tour .. big food portions too compared to some other food tours so come w appetite 😃

Secret Food Tours exceeded our expectations as to the quality, variety, and quantity of food. We have done a number of food tours, both domestic and abroad, and Taylor was easily among the best guides that we have had. She is very personable and knowledgeable and provided us with a bit of history (not only with regard to the food, but also about downtown Houston) as part of the experience. Our tour ended at the POST, which may be the new normal. If so, please update the website to reflect this possibility. Incidentally, the ice cream at the POST was phenomenal, as was every other dish that we sampled that day. Some tips: wear comfortable shoes (of course); bring a water bottle (you will be able to refill it along the way); bring a hearty appetite (you will need it); pace yourself (you can get take leftovers with you–this is critical at the front end of the tour); and if you enjoyed the experience, don’t forget to tip your guide (they work very hard to create such a seamless experience, even when they have to adapt to menu changes on the fly). Locals (such as ourselves) will find this foodie tour to be full of delicious surprises, so play “tourist” and see what Houston has to offer. Thanks again to Taylor, and the entire Houston Secret Food Tour team, for a delightful epicurean experience.
