Overview

Hovercrafts are an incredibly unique mode of transportation and an engineering marvel that are amphibious. No other tour can provide what we can do with this vessel.

Very few individuals have ridden on a vessel that literally floats on a 20" pocket of air that makes beach landings from a marine environment.

This 24' x 11' vessel is enclosed with sliding windows and a "Back to the Future" DeLorean-styled hatch door with plenty of cabin space.

Tours are kept to 6 people max to be more personable with the captain and crew giving the tours.

The tour will never be the same 2x! Explore the braided glacial outwash planes while searching for wildlife and adventure!

The Scenery is incredibly breathtaking with narrations about glaciology, geomorphology, and local ecology.

We greatly enjoyed this trip. It was a very unique experience riding in an amphibious vehicle and was more fun than I expected. We saw 3 bald eagles and pulled off onto sand bars several times to get better looks at the birds. Jarid and Phil are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the area and Emmitt sharing that knowledge with their guests.

Jared was a great guide. He was very kind and pleasant to our 3 children who we took on the tour. We saw many eagles and towards the end of the trip we saw a bear which was the most amazing thing. Jared was great and turned us around so we can get better views.

This was the best excursion we took while on our Alaskan cruise. It was fun doing a few donuts at the beginning and end of the tour. We then went along the coast hunting for eagles and we weren’t disappointed. The best part of the tour was riding up onto the beach and being able to wander around getting a beautiful view of a meadow and waterfall. The scenery was very different than any we have seen on our other excursions. Very few Alaskan tours let you actually get out of the craft to take a closer look at things. The scenery was beautiful. The Owner/Captain allowed us to take our time. He was very interesting and knowledgeable about the area and allowed us to ask as many questions as we wanted. He had an easy way about him that made you feel more like you were just spending time with friends. There was plenty of time to take some beautiful photos. Then we boarded the craft again and went up the river. We were surprised to see two eagles sitting on a log and because of the type of craft we were in, the Captain was able to get around to the front and get even better up close pictures. The tour was a little short for the cost, I think 2 hours would have been better. I also wish there was just a tiny bit more of the fun fast donut driving. I will definitely book this tour again!
