We went on a wine tasting cruise. The idea of doing a wine tasting in a ferry boat is intriguing, but not logical. They put us up on benches on the main deck and had the tasting on the lower deck, which meant we had to walk downstairs every time we wanted more wine. It was a beautiful fall day, which turned into a crisp fall evening.

It was a sunny sunday afternoon we sailed from Kingston NY and enjoyed every minute of it. the crew and boat were great. the narrative was very informative. We arrived early for out 2:30 cruise and enjoyed watching a crewing contest. then as a group we stopped to have lunch at Mariner's Harbor. The hostess was extremely helpful and Alberto(I hope I am correct if not sorry) was extremely patient with our large party of 13., The only disappointing item was the leaves didn't start to change color yet but that was not in the Hudson River Cruises control. The river cruise was wonderful, something different. Will try to catch the leaves changing again next year

The two hour cruise was a good way to spend a sunny day on the water. Other than that I did not find it very interesting and we were watching the clock until we could dock. The crew was very nice and the ship was well Maintained. If I had to choose my time in the Hudson Valley I would skip this unless you have plenty of time to see the other attractions .
