We had a great time on our Hudson River Cruise. Crew was well-informed, and friendly. Weather could have been better, but that's no one's fault except Mother Nature!

On our spring week in May, we planned a multitude of events. The boat ride down the Hudson river fom Kingston was comfortable, and filled with fascinating history of the river, the mansions, the revolutionary war, commodities transported by barges, and the hudson river trains. History comes to life thanks to extremely knowledgeable crew. Food is sold on board, Spring time has a limited schedule, but LESS crowded. The tour travels miles on the Hudson, and takes 2 hours. Before, or after, great restaurants in the old part (rondout) of the city.

The Rip Van Winkle dinner Cruise was not what we expected. The food was horrible; served on paper plates that were so thin they broke when you cut your meat. The Pasta looked like hard mashed potatoes and it was cold. By the time we got on line there was no more shrimp left. The chicken was tasteless and cold. Overall the food was terrible. The bathrooms (both men and women) reeked of urine smell. The only saving grace was the scenery and Mr.Michael Dell's music. The songs were Frank Sinatra nostalgic and he had a great voice. Overall though, the cruise was worst than horrible and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
