I brought my parents on the Fri afternoon cruise and it was the perfect choice for their intro to the Kingston and Hudson Valley area. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The boat is clean and well appointed (there is even a bar), with seating available in both the sun and covered areas. The narrative is very informative about the history of the Hudson, the lighthouses you pass, the wildlife, and the many estates on the banks of the river. We even saw a bald eagle. Photos are taken and posted as a slideshow during the trip. My parents loved it and it is the perfect way to spend a hot summer afternoon.

This cruise makes a lovely nice weather activity. I would say you need to watch small mobile children because it is a boat but infants and kids a little older are great. They have a refreshment counter with some alcohol for those who want. The tours are narrated so you can listen and learn. I have done this several times and I loved it

This is a pleasent way to cruise the Hudson River from Kingston. We combined this with a visit to Old Kingston and the museums located there, which made for a pleasent day hanging out at the waterfront. The trip started at the end of Broadway St, and headed out on the Roundout River. The boat then turned south on the Hudson for about an hour and a half before turning around and returning to Kingston. The boat is mostly open, and the uncovered portions of the decks can be a bit exposed on hot days. I recommend getting one of the bench seats on upper deck, on the right-hand (starboard) side of the boat for the best views.
