The boat has a lower enclosed deck, a middle deck which is a shaded but otherwise open are, and an open air upper deck with bench seating.
A fully stocked bar with alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and a snack bar with light fare such as hot dogs & fresh popped popcorn is available on the lower main deck at your own expense.
Outside food and beverages are not allowed on board the boat
There is plenty of seating on the boat, both inside and on the upper deck, which consists mainly of bench-style seating; the main lower deck has chairs; seating is on a first-come first-served basis, so be sure to arrive early if you’d like to sit in a particular area of the boat

We have done their cruise twice once in May with family and once in August with friends. Each time was very enjoyable. The boat is clean and well appointed with plenty of crew on board to assist. The cruise itself is around two hours and heads south from Kingston to Hyde Park. There is occasional narration providing the history of the waterway and the many mansions that sit on it's banks. There is a full bar and food available. We didn't indulge but others seemed to enjoy. When boarding a photo of each group is taken which is available for purchase at the end. Very reasonable and a nice momento. We recommend this highly.

My wife and I enjoyed our two hour cruise on the Rip Van Winkle. The narration was excellent, the vessel was clean and well maintained, and the crew and servers were pleasant and helpful.

This was our 4th year doing an annual boat cruise, everyone on board was great. The crew is very friendly and helpful. Great views while traveling on the Hudson.
