I love riverboat cruises and especially this Hudson Riverboat Cruise one. The captain narrated an fascinating (and sometimes funny) 1 1/2 hour cruise including the local lore adn history of Hudson NY starting with Henry Hudson. If you have never been to Hudson, it is a great introduction that you can't get on the streets. If you've lived all you life in Hudson, it's a wonderful story and I will bet that you haven't heard it before. In addition to hearing history, we saw osprey nests and eagles. It's easiest to make reservations ahead of time either online or by phone because 2 hours before the cruise, their booth wasn't open. There are reasonably prices beverages on board, and they had Hudson River history book for sale too.

We all enjoyed the beauty and the historical aspect of the cruise although we would have liked some improvement in the audio system so as to not miss any information about the sites we saw. It was exhilarating to see eagles perched along the river high in the trees! The boat was clean, offered light snacks, comfortable enough, friendly staff. The 2 hours were time well spent and the price quite reasonable.

The cruise lasted 1.45 hours and was a different perspective to see the Statue of Liberty, One World Observatory, Wall Street and Brooklyn Bridge among other sights. If it is a hot day it is good to bring water with you. There is a small snack bar on the ferry too. The ferry stopped several times, so you can also hopp off before the cruise ends if you want to. The fee was some 30 USD and little less for children. There are seats both inside and outside. Tou can also have a group photo taken for 20 USD, nice souvenier.
