Taking a cruise on the River is a must for visitors and even for locals. Beautiful section of the Hudson from Kingston South to Hyde Park. Passing Kingston and Esopus lighthouse, an island, many beautiful private properties, retreat centers and historic mansions. The ship's crew members were great, a nice array of snacks and beverages available for purchase. Remember the leaves turn later along the river so there was still plenty of great color to see on Nov. 7. So glad we had the extra week of warm beautiful weather to enjoy!

We enjoyed the 2+ hour cruise and it’s departure location in the Rondout Creek area. We had brunch at a nearby restaurant and visited the farmers market before strolling to the boat. The physical ship is large and comfortable. Plenty of refreshments were available. We had nice upper deck seating with great views. Our only complaint is the sound system was insufficient while in motion with a bit of wind. We hear normally but the sound of the speaker and the local and historical observations were tough to pick up at our seat locations in port aft.
