The boat has a lower enclosed deck, a middle deck which is a shaded but otherwise open are, and an open air upper deck with bench seating.
A fully stocked bar with alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and a snack bar with light fare such as hot dogs & fresh popped popcorn is available on the lower main deck at your own expense.
Outside food and beverages are not allowed on board the boat
There is plenty of seating on the boat, both inside and on the upper deck, which consists mainly of bench-style seating; the main lower deck has chairs; seating is on a first-come first-served basis, so be sure to arrive early if you’d like to sit in a particular area of the boat

Loved the cruise and lunch at Savanos was excellent. Very accommodating on the boat and the restaurant service was excellent.

The views were spectacular - the cruise was relaxing and we had an absolutely beautiful day. We had 53 Seniors in attendance and they loved it !!

We made our reservations online and received an E-mail the day before our trip as a reminder. We found a place to park feet from the entrance to the boat. The boarding was done in a timely manor. The Rip Van Winkle has several levels so you can sit inside or out. The ride is 2 hours pointing out all things of interest between Kingston and Hyde Park NY. We also saw 2 bald eagles. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed a comfortable sightseeing trip. There is a snack bar aboard and beer and wine is also available for purchase. There is a waterfront park, many restaurants and ample parking within walking distance of the boat.
