The boat has a lower enclosed deck, a middle deck which is a shaded but otherwise open are, and an open air upper deck with bench seating.
A fully stocked bar with alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and a snack bar with light fare such as hot dogs & fresh popped popcorn is available on the lower main deck at your own expense.
Outside food and beverages are not allowed on board the boat
There is plenty of seating on the boat, both inside and on the upper deck, which consists mainly of bench-style seating; the main lower deck has chairs; seating is on a first-come first-served basis, so be sure to arrive early if you’d like to sit in a particular area of the boat

We normally book a Hudson cruise out of Newburgh, and we were looking for a cruise this past Monday, with nothing available in Newburgh. An internet search showed the Rip Van W. leaving from Kingston at 2:30pm, so we booked the cruise. We were really impressed with the boat, the venue, and especially the crew. This cruise was so much better than the ones in Newburgh, and with more offered dates, the comfortable boat and the very accommodating crew, we will do all our future cruises on the Rip Van Winkle. We had dinner at Old Savannah after the cruise, and the entire experience made for a perfect visit to the Kingston waterfront.

The trip up and down the upper Hudson was a memorable experience. The scenery was incredible, and the dialogue that accompanied the cruise made the it more real.

Great cruise on the Hudson! Enjoyable ride and scenery! Appreciated the historical narrative provided during the ride. The boat was clean and there were plenty of shaded areas as well as the sunny seats.
