The cruise was good in that it allowed one on the water at a low cost for a couple hours. It needs work in the comfort. I have been on several cruises on lakes and rivers. This did not rank high when compared to those. The vessel made one feel like cargo rather than passenger. The plastic lawn chairs may allow for flexibility for use of space on decks however they contribute to an improvisational vibe that is not easily dismissed. The narration regarding sites was adequate with many large gaps of time between points of interests. This is fine for those that are keen on introspection. It may leave those that seek constant stimulation feeling a bit let down. The river is beautiful and if one keeps the focus on it than the cruise will prove to have worth.

Had a lovely trip, weather was sunny and leaves turning. First time out this far up the Hudson and it did not disappoint. So scenic and filled with so much history.

We really enjoyed our recent tour of the Hudson River. The fall foliage isn't as spectacular this year as we had hoped but, it was interesting learning about the mansions and sights along the River. The only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars was because it was hard to hear the speakers on the lower inside deck. Between people around us talking and the sound of the engine, it was loud and a bit chilly to be outside on the day we went. This has nothing to do with the cruise, but we were disappointed that the shops along the riverfront area were closed even though the signs on their doors said they were open till 5.
