The boat has a lower enclosed deck, a middle deck which is a shaded but otherwise open are, and an open air upper deck with bench seating.
A fully stocked bar with alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and a snack bar with light fare such as hot dogs & fresh popped popcorn is available on the lower main deck at your own expense.
Outside food and beverages are not allowed on board the boat
There is plenty of seating on the boat, both inside and on the upper deck, which consists mainly of bench-style seating; the main lower deck has chairs; seating is on a first-come first-served basis, so be sure to arrive early if you’d like to sit in a particular area of the boat

I have taken this cruise 4 times. When I first moved to the Hudson Valley I took it three times in 3 years and each time I enjoyed the cruise. This was 20+ years ago. I took the cruise again this past week and was very disappointed. I think the difference was that in the past there was an actual person telling you about the the river and people living on the river. With each tour there was something new to learn as the guides were different each time and they all had their own stories. Presently there is a bland and boring recording. Also the crew asks for tips at the end of the ride. They actually don't do anything but let us on and off the boat. I think $27.00 per person should cover that part of the ride.
