Drawing on years of experience, our captains and crew will take you to view the humpback whales as they migrate. As we search for these beautiful creatures in the tropical waters off the coast, our crew will share their knowledge about these fascinating creatures, how they live and their role in the ocean’s ecosystem. Seeing these larger-than-life whales is truly magical and can be a life-changing experience.

What To Expect

Kailua-Kona

Board one of our sleek, powerful, twin-engine, rigid hull inflatable vessels to search for and observe the seasonal migration of the Humpback Whales along with some of their year-round cousins – Pilot Whales, Beaked Whales, Melon-headed Whales, and others that are regularly found along the Kona coastline. Your adventure focuses on finding these magnificent mammals and spending quality time with them, by observing, photographing, learning, and listening to their song and other vocalizations using our underwater hydrophone system. This 2.5-hour adventure does not include getting out of the boat or swimming to observe the whales. But it's the perfect opportunity for those who love the ocean and all its wonders. Adults, children, families and friends of all ages and abilities will enjoy together one of nature’s grandstand most elegant creations.

This is a must do. Captain Shelley and Cat were fabulous. We had a perfect day on the water looking for whales. Captain Shelley is very knowledgeable and fun to listen to while crusing the beautiful blue water. He was very encouraging not to give up as we were about to head back not having spotted any of the whales we were seeking. But..... at almost the final moments a mom and her baby were spotted by our captain. He extended our trip slightly se we could take in these amazing creatures. Don't miss this one!

Our trip on 2/12/21 was fabulous. Saw whales having a wonderful time. The Captain was great and knowledgeable- highly recommend an adventure with this company.

It took a while to find the whales but until we did the boat ride was awesome. The views of the Island were beautiful. We found the whales just before the excursion was over and spent 30-45 minutes quietly floating and watching. Fantastic trip!!!
