Chuck was our tour guide. I just love how connected he is to Philadelphia and it’s rich history and beautiful people. The pride and craftsmanship in the Italian market is inspiring. I loved how Chuck walked us through history while blending the very personal elements of the people and businesses in the market. This tour gives you some behind the scenes experiences with business owners that have made sacrifices to maintain their family business and heritage. Chuck created an open dialogue during the tour and I felt connected to the story of William Penn and Philadelphia that made me want to continue to be open minded and loving towards one another. Thanks Chuck for sharing what the city of brotherly love and sisterly affection truly means!!

I did this walking tour with our guide Chuck and a group of eight. I was with my sister and we love learning and immersing ourselves in other cultures and worlds. I promise you will have respect for this wonderful place if you take the time to learn about this old city. You could tell Chuck loved his job and it wasnt just a job for him it was his passion to share his city with people from all over, how blessed were we to gain such rich insight and knowledge of not just the South side but of the entire city. I promise you will not be disappointed. It was great to see in a country full of modern day living that the old world still ticks along doing their own thing as they always have been for generations. An awesome tour and experience!

There's nothing that compares with getting a local's perspective on tour. Chuck was knowledgeable, candid, detailed and patient during our visit to the Italian Market neighborhood. From an intro to Zagar's thought-provoking art while walking through the side streets and alleys to behind-the-scenes peeks in merchant shops in the Italian Market, we were treated to an experience touching all the senses. It was hard for us to decide which shop to return to after the tour. Needless to say, our next trip to Philly will certainly include a return visit to the Italian Market. Thanks, Chuck!
