My mother -- who is a recent widow -- wanted to take me, my sister and my nieces on a vacation. We chose Branson. We traveled to Branson for a mini three-night vacation June 3-6. Me and my sister are in our 40s and my nieces are both teenagers.
In looking for Branson entertainment options, we definitely wanted to go to Silver Dollar City, and we were looking for 2-3 shows to go to. One show we noticed was Illusionist Rick Thomas. I did not know who Rick was, but the show looked fun. We decided to purchase tickets to his June 3 (Monday night) show at the Shanghai Theatre.
That night, the five of us (three generations) attended the show. We couldn't have been more amazed or more pleased! The show was unbelievable and is a must-see if you are traveling to Branson, MO. It is a true testament that my 70+ year old mother, myself and my sister (40s age), and my nieces (teenagers) left the show with the same amazing enjoyment of the show. That's hard to do.
The magic was unbelievable and there's even an opportunity to go backstage at intermission to meet Rick, the crew and his great Pyrenees. We took advantage of this opportunity and got to meet him backstage and get a picture.
In addition, the show has an INSPIRING MESSAGE to follow your dreams. His story is the true epitome of following your dreams.
As we were traveling back to Texas today, the Rick Thomas Mansion of Dreams show was a major topic of conversation. We hope to see it again one day.
Again, if you are in Branson and looking for shows to attend, THIS IS A MUST-SEE!
