What To Expect

Denali National Park and Preserve

With clear sky conditions, guests can view Mountain Denali in all its wonder, as well as the many mountains surrounding Fairbanks.

Fairbanks

Breathtaking views of the Aurora Borealis from some of our key Northern Light viewing locations. We will make sure you get to see the Aurora

Chena River State Recreation Area

Each night guests can view the beautiful scenery that surrounds Fairbanks, including the beautiful Chena River and surrounding lakes, streams and more.

Felix Pedro Monument

Gold, Gold, Gold! Alaska is known for oil and gold. Our guides are familiar with gold panning and the man who first discovered gold in July 1902, starting the Fairbanks Gold Rush. This monument is one of many treasures we are happy to share whenever possible with guests. Please remember we go where the clear skies are and not all guests have the same locations to visit. If you want to learn about Alaskan History, ask our wonderful guides who are happy to share both personal and historical facts and stories.

Alyeska Pipeline Viewing Point

Here at Aurora in Alaska we go to the best cloud free location each night. One of our favorites stops along the way is the awe-inspiring and historical Alyeska Pipeline. Whenever possible our guides happily share our Alaskan history with oil and take guests up close and personal to the pipeline.

Nick tried very hard and traveled far to chase down clearer skies. Finally at 2:45 am near the delta, we got views. They were better on the camera but we saw the colors. Only reason I gave a 4 was that there wasn't any water. Cold water on ice would have been great. Another passenger have me a water. I was expecting drinks but coffee and hot chocolate at 2:45 am aren't me. I didn't even mind that we didn't get Reindeer sausage. Home at 5 am.

Our team’s primary mission is to get to the best location for the auroras. Unfortunately your night did take more hunting then earlier forecasts were showing and we thank you for understanding this aspect. We do hope to you enjoyed everything else about the tour and will remind guides to be mindful about asking guests if they need water throughout the tour.

We had a fantastic time with this tour. Our guides worked so hard to make sure we saw an Aurora even though we only had a 30% chance due to cloud coverage. Communication was top notch. The company set expectations of our chances to see the lights before we even left! We made 3 different stops and had a great experience.

There was a chance that it was going to be cloudy and they asked if we wanted a refund or risk it and we decided to risk it and I’m glad we did! our tour guide Andre made sure we saw them! It was a great experience. I would definitely recommend.
