Inside the Daniels House

Overview

Throughout December, the rooms of the Daniels House are decked out for Christmas!

On this tour you’ll get a rare look inside an original 17th century mansion built by ship captain Stephen Daniels in 1667.
We’ll start in the old Parlor, richly decorated with antiques and historic details: low ceilings, an original fireplace and wide-pine floors. A selection of historical drinks are provided to enhance the experience. Then we’ll immerse ourselves in the old rustic kitchen for a glimpse of what daily life was like when Salem was on the frontier; complete with 9’ cooking fireplace and protection marks carved into the wood to ward off the evils of the world.

Throughout you’ll get an intimate look at original details from the Witch Trials, American Revolution and beyond.The Daniels House is not a museum nor a reproduction; it's an original home representing over 350 years of daily life.

Ticket proceeds go toward preservation of the House.

This is a must see in Salem! Our tour guide, Vijay, was the best tour guide I have ever had, he really knew his stuff and was so great in the delivery of the information, I could listen to his stories all day. The house was really neat inside, you can actually touch and sit on the furniture which is very different then most tours and museums.

I absolutly loved this tour as well as the people with me. Our guide was just amazing and kept us wanting to hear more! Was very cool that we could of sit and touch stuff as well. Will definatly be booking the bed and breakfast to have another experience in the Daniel house on my return to salem!

The ambience couldn’t have been more perfect and Vijay Was the perfect narrator it was raining all night and all the candles were lit and if you want to do a fun Halloween experience I rate it a 10
