BIGHORN SHEEP CANYON

Floating past spectacular geological formations and views of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range as you run exciting Class II-III rapids. This trip is suitable for first timers or experienced rafters with great views and lots of adventure. You will run the best 10 miles of whitewater in Bighorn Sheep Canyon and perfect for families, groups or individuals looking to experience whitewater rafting in Colorado for the first time or tenth time. Great views and adventure! 2 to 3 hours on the water. This is the only trip that can start out of either of our locations.

What To Expect

Arkansas River Tours

You will meet at our office and check in with our friendly office staff, meet your guide, get outfitted with the proper rafting equipment, go through and in depth safety orientation and then hop on a van or bus for a 25-30 drive to the river put int

Arkansas River

Once you arrive at the put in you will be given specific instructions by your guide and then you are off for an adventure of a life time! You will spend 2-2.5 hours on the water running great whitewater and viewing amazing Colorado scenery.

My husband and I took our 13 year old daughter on the 2 full day white water rafting and 1 night camping trip. We had a blast! Calvin was an incredible guide! He was very experienced, safe, knowledgeable about the areas, very personable, and really made sure that our 13 year old got the thrill she was seeking- all while being aware of safety. We had a big lunch each day, dinner on the night of the camp out (yummy steaks) and a delicious camp breakfast. Calvin was a great cook! We rented our camping gear from ART. Everything was very clean and very comfortable. I called the office several times before our trip and they happily answered all of my questions. We saw many other tours but I think that ART was the best! I highly recommend ART!

Barry was amazing in our rafting trip. He was well highly skilled in rafting and helped us feel safe and secure in our ability to float. He was super communicative in helping get through the float safely while having a blast. Would highly recommend to anyone who is up for amazing adventures and good company!
