Overview

Floating past spectacular geological formations and views of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range as you run exciting Class II-III rapids. This trip is suitable for families, first timers or experienced rafters with great views and lots of adventure. You will run the best 10 miles of whitewater in Bighorn Sheep Canyon, groups or individuals looking to experience whitewater rafting in Colorado for the first time or tenth time. Great views and adventure! 2 to 3 hours on the water. This is the only trip that can start out of either of our locations.

Once you arrive at the the river you will be given specific a professional guide that will take you on an adventure of a life time! You will spend 2-2.5 hours on the water running great whitewater, potential Bighorn Sheep sightings and viewing amazing Colorado scenery.

My brother suggested a white water rafting trip when I came to visit him in Colorado. He booked our trip with Arkansas River Tours and they delivered a great experience. They provided all the equipment and the staff made sure we were fitted properly, then went over safety rules. Once in the water we were given instructions on where to sit and how to paddle, then we had time to practice before starting down the river. Austin was our guide and he made sure we had a good time, interacting with us, doing paddle high fives and sharing interesting facts as we went down the river. During the large rapids Austin was good about telling us what to do, and I felt safe the whole time. It was just our family of four but by the time we were done we felt like Austin was a part of our family. I will definitely book another rafting trip the next time I am in Colorado.

I was very reluctant to do this at age 71 but it was so awesome and I am so glad we did it! The staff was great and informative and spending time with my family going down the river was something I will never forget. Ally our guide was wonderful! 💞

My husband and I had a great time on the river. I was a little apprehensive at first, but our wonderful guide, RonJohn, put us at ease immediately. We were in a boat with four guests and guide. He skillfully navigated us through rapids while giving us the exhilarating experience of getting wet. We took the afternoon ride and the day was quite hot so the first face full of water felt magnificent! They really take care of you with first class equipment and skillful staff! I never felt like I would fall out of the boat! Loved it and would like to go back soon.
