BIGHORN SHEEP CANYON

Floating past spectacular geological formations and views of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range as you run exciting Class II-III rapids. This trip is suitable for first timers or experienced rafters with great views and lots of adventure. You will run the best 10 miles of whitewater in Bighorn Sheep Canyon and perfect for families, groups or individuals looking to experience whitewater rafting in Colorado for the first time or tenth time. Great views and adventure! 2 to 3 hours on the water. This is the only trip that can start out of either of our locations.

What To Expect

Arkansas River Tours

You will meet at our office and check in with our friendly office staff, meet your guide, get outfitted with the proper rafting equipment, go through and in depth safety orientation and then hop on a van or bus for a 25-30 drive to the river put int

Arkansas River

Once you arrive at the put in you will be given specific instructions by your guide and then you are off for an adventure of a life time! You will spend 2-2.5 hours on the water running great whitewater and viewing amazing Colorado scenery.

Today I went on my first river rafting trip. I was one of about 15 people on a corporate outing. Most/all of the group were of the younger group. Mid 30’s to 44 years of age. Most of them were ready for this experience. However there were a few of us that might not have been so ready. The employees in the office were very nice, very helpful. The guides that took our three boots on this realty trip were excellent. Showed us what to do and when to do it. We then got onto a bus for the ride up the river. About a 30 minute ride. Got to the drop off spot,the guide for our boat gave us more information. By the way the young lady that was our guide,her name is Kasen. She didn’t know it at the time, but she was going to have her hands full in a very short period of time. We had 3 first time rafters and 3 that had been before. For what ever reason the 6 of us could not get in sink with each other. To say the least you could say we had a few issues. Kasen hung in there with us, keep us all calm and in control. I would say by a quarter of the way down the river, with her help and guidance we were doing much better and having a great time. They other two boats and their guides also played an important part of our boat have a good trip. I would definitely give Arkansas River Tours a 5***** Rating. As far as Kasen there aren’t enough stars ⭐️ To tell her she did a wonderful job with out boat. Thanks Again to Arkansas River Tours

Our family had an amazing time rafting the Arkansas River! Our tour guide, Ethan Nelson, was funny, informative and made sure we all stayed in the raft. We had a blast and would highly recommend to other families!
