The walking tour to and through Tijuana, Mexico was splendid. I was planning on doing the trek without a tour guide but I am so glad I didn’t. The guide Lucy met us at the Mc Donald’s as instructions indicated and told us what to expect going through immigration. The tour was September 16th and happened to be on Independence Day therefore we agreed to do an early start time to see the parade. Our tour started at city hall and we made it through the city onward to downtown. We made several stops along the way. Lucy is passionate and a good narrator. Be prepared to really walk and that isn’t a downside at all, just if you expect that this walking tour isn’t really walking it is. I have traveled a good bit and used to walking around exploring so this was up my alley. The stops for food and tequila tasting were good as well. I do plan to return someday. The people were great and Tijuana deserves the support and a visit!

What a great tour and guide. I thought we would spend the day just across the border however our guide took us to 4 or so places utilizing public transportation. Never once did we feel unsafe, from the markets to the beach and border wall our guide kept our group together and moving. Lunch was from a couple of street vendors and it was absolutely divine. When I handed back my plate the lady asked me if I wanted more. I'm a big ole boy but was stuffed from the first round. If you have the time I highly recommend the trip.
