This is a great experience and a wonderful introductory trip to sample a little Mexican culture. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared in the heat for a lot of walking. Our guide Carlos was informative, witty& friendly. We all enjoyed our afternoon with him. The taco stop was great. Wouldn’t recommend for young children but for a family with late teens it’s

Drove to the border and parked at one of the many places offering parking ( $8) before making the easy walk through customs and across the border. You don’t really need Pesos unless you intend to buy souvenirs or extra food / alcohol as the tour includes two tacos and a drink. There are plenty of exchange places if you do want to swap some US dollars while you are there or even just outside the border. Once across the border we walked down to the street and found our guide, Joceline, waiting for us. What a wonderful guide she turned out to be! While walking around the city she shared lots of interesting information about the city and Mexico. We had lunch at a cafe (included) and then visited a bar with great views of the city( drinks are at own expense) purchased the tasting flight of beers which are brewed on the premises and enjoyed the view. The wonderful thing about Joceline was that she did whatever we wanted to do...she offered options and then let us decide. This tour is a great way to see Tijuana......even better if you get Joceline as a guide!
