Overview

Learn to scuba dive during your Maui vacation with Banyan Tree Divers Maui! Our mobile dive shop is owned and operated by PADI instructors who each have over 10 years of professional teaching experience. We focus on your safety and comfort with small group sizes. If you want the one-on-one attention you deserve, then you have found the Lahaina dive shop for you. We provide all of our guests with personalized attention, and when possible, private diving.

PLEASE READ: You MUST be able to swim to complete the Introductory Dive. This means that each student can swim unassisted in the ocean. Our Private Dive is REQUIRED for less comfortable swimmers, available in a separate listing. Misrepresentation of your swimming ability will lead to removal from the experience and NO REFUND.

Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
Not recommended for pregnant travelers
Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Minimum age to participate is 10
Guests should be able to carry a minimum of 30lbs for a short distance
After diving you must wait 18 hours to fly or ascend to 1,000 feet or more
Guests MUST be proficient at swimming in order to complete this activity. If you show up for diving and cannot swim, you forfeit your participation in the experience as well as your right to a refund.
Must be able to answer NO to each question on the Medical Statement. A YES answer requires a doctor clearance. Failure to secure a doctor clearance when needed forfeits the ability to dive and the right to a refund. Please contact Banyan Tree Divers ahead of time for a copy of the medical form if you have any health concerns that might affect your ability to dive.
Transportation not included. Please let us know if you will not have a rental car.
Not recommended for travelers with asthma or sinus medical conditions
Proficient SWIMMING ABILITY IS REQUIRED. This means that each student must be able to swim unassisted in the ocean.
Hand sanitiser available to travellers and staff
Gear/equipment sanitised between use
Guides required to regularly wash hands

While scuba diving involves minimal physical contact with guests, your immediate safety is our first priority. Thus, we are unable to promise consistent social distancing during your dive experience. All gear is sanitized before and after use.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

My husband and I did this activity during our honeymoon. I was not expecting to find it so challenging but Abby was so patient and helped me overcome my fears! 100/10 recommend!!

Highly recommend! Our dive instructor Annika was the best! She made my wife feel very comfortable when she was learning to scuba dive. She was patient and encouraging when my wife wanted to give up. Annika got her comfortable and down underwater with us! Thank you so much for the amazing experience, we will definitely be diving with them next time we come back to Maui.

I had the pleasure of doing an intro dive with ABBY and let me just say she was A1(Spectacular). Very thorough on her explanations of the basics to diving and all the mechanics of our equipment. I’ll be honest I was extremely nervous. But Abby made sure from the moment we got in the water to ease us all in and made us comfortable. I missed out on the second dive with her group which I extremely regretted! But my awesome fiancé motivated me to reach out on another day and I was able to schedule a second dive with CHRIS. Not only is their customer service top notch on how easy going they are but their instructors are laid back and allow you to be comfortable before and during your dive. CHRIS was super laid back and allowed us to do our own thing but never once stopped checking in on all of us. I have to say Banyan Tree Divers were worth every penny. High quality experience all around. Well done to this company.
