Overview

Learn to scuba dive during your Maui vacation with Banyan Tree Divers Maui! Our mobile dive shop is owned and operated by PADI instructors who each have over 10 years of professional teaching experience. We focus on your safety and comfort with small group sizes. If you want the one-on-one attention you deserve, then you have found the Lahaina dive shop for you. We provide all of our guests with personalized attention, and when possible, private diving.

PLEASE READ: You MUST be able to swim to complete the Introductory Dive. This means that each student can swim unassisted in the ocean. Our Private Dive is REQUIRED for less comfortable swimmers, available in a separate listing. Misrepresentation of your swimming ability will lead to removal from the experience and NO REFUND.

Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
Not recommended for pregnant travelers
Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Minimum age to participate is 10
Guests should be able to carry a minimum of 30lbs for a short distance
After diving you must wait 18 hours to fly or ascend to 1,000 feet or more
Guests MUST be proficient at swimming in order to complete this activity. If you show up for diving and cannot swim, you forfeit your participation in the experience as well as your right to a refund.
Must be able to answer NO to each question on the Medical Statement. A YES answer requires a doctor clearance. Failure to secure a doctor clearance when needed forfeits the ability to dive and the right to a refund. Please contact Banyan Tree Divers ahead of time for a copy of the medical form if you have any health concerns that might affect your ability to dive.
Transportation not included. Please let us know if you will not have a rental car.
Not recommended for travelers with asthma or sinus medical conditions
Proficient SWIMMING ABILITY IS REQUIRED. This means that each student must be able to swim unassisted in the ocean.

While scuba diving involves minimal physical contact with guests, your immediate safety is our first priority. Thus, we are unable to promise consistent social distancing during your dive experience. All gear is sanitized before and after use.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

If you're looking for a great time with some awesome people, look no further. Caitlin and Kevin go above and beyond to make your dive experience one of a kind. This was my second time diving with Banyan Tree Divers and I am already looking forward to my next dive with them when back on Maui. We saw countless sea turtles, schools of tropical fish, and even an octopus! Along with all the fun, we felt very safe and looked after the entirety of the dive & the quality of their dive equipment is great--something you won't find with the bigger dive companies. This is truly the BEST outdoor activity you can find in Maui!

My wife and I booked for late November. The water and visibility were outstanding. We saw numerous turtles up close on our second dive. My wife was unsure about making the second dive because she was uncomfortable keeping here buoyancy on the first, but Kevin's positive attitude and encouragement helped her make the second dive and she ended up loving it. Kevin and Caitlin were so full of positive vibes it was infectious. They also bent over backwards helping us with my boneheaded move of locking my keys in a rental car trunk. Book with them. Trust me, you will love the vibe!

This was an amazing experience all the way around. Caitlin expertly guided us through one of the best beach dive sites in Maui (6 minutes away from the hotels in Kaanapali). She was super patient, incredibly knowledgeable and friendly with us all the way around. You could tell she really enjoys her job. We ended up seeing beautiful fauna and flora throughout our dive, including a sea turtle towards the end. After the dive, I was a bit dehydrated and exhausted (totally my bad on that one). Caitlin was good enough to get me some water from one of her own bottles and a berry bar, which fixed me right up! Talk about going above and beyond the call of duty. I'm definitely going back to these guys for my next dive. I might even sign up for another one in a couple of days, because I liked it so much.
