Overview

The Melting Point is a new, state-of-the-art facility featuring a fine art gallery, a lamp working studio and fully equipped hotshop. We eat, sleep, and breath glass, and it's our delight to share this passion with the community. Our staff is as diverse as the beautiful Sedona desert landscape. Coming from a broad range of educational backgrounds, our glassblowers can tell you everything you would ever want to know about the science and art of glass.

We had a great time. Alexa Rose is an excellent teacher. She was very helpful and patient with us. Makes us want to do it again. We will be sure and do it again the next time we came to Sedona. Alexa deserves 10 stars for this experience

I would leave more stars if possible! Chris is a patient teacher who kept us alert about safety at all times and helped us understand what we were doing. I felt creative and artistic! Yay! Very fun!

If you're interested in different art mediums in any capacity, I highly recommend this workshop. Price is affordable and you are walked through the entire process of making your own piece of glass art. You book the flower on this website, BUT there are more options when you arrive (paperweight, a couple bowls, a catcus..all a variety of price points so you pay the difference). My boyfriend and I ended up doing a "sucky bowl" and a cylinder cup. You choose from a nice variety of colors. Alexa Rose had such a passion for her art, teaching, and what we were making it was a lot fun sharing that experience with her! She is a wonderful instructor and you can tell she loves what she does. I felt very safe even though I was kinda nervous since it's heat + glass. We will definitely be back and are looking into more classes that are local to us. This is a must do on your trip to Sedona! ** You either pick up your glass art the following day or it can be shipped to you, so plan for that.
