My family visited Hawai'i over Christmas, so it was assumed that popular places like this would book up quickly. Knowing this, we booked a Luau on Oahu that unfortunately got cancelled due to weather. Knowing that we were leaving for Kona in the next few days, we decided to give Island Breeze a shot, even though they said it was completely booked online. Upon calling, they were extremely friendly and helpful and said that they would check to see if they could fit us in. Fortunately, they had exactly five seats left, so our family was able to go. This Luau certainly did not disappoint!! The pre-show activities such as the hula lessons and getting "tattoos" were cute and fun for the whole family! Once the show started, the emcee, band, and performers were absolutely amazing! They kept the show upbeat and exciting. I am no food critic, but my whole family thought food was really good and that there were tons of great options! Overall, this ended up being the highlight of our trip and a memory that we will have forever. I can't recommend it enough for any family in Kona!!

First of all, we were there a half hour early and the line was super long to check in. We prepaid for pictures and leis and it didn’t matter the line went very slow. They started the event before everyone could get done with check in. We missed the beginning ceremony because of the check in process. It was raining and very windy. I understand you can’t control the weather but it really was not fun holding and umbrella while trying to eat in the rain and wind. The food was just OK nothing special. The entertainment was great but I guess due to the weather we were cut short. Overall the luau was not worth it. Very disappointed and over priced!!

We were on family vacation over Christmas and took our 10,13 and 16 years old to the Luau. The emcee, musicians, dancers and show are really good and very fun. The 4 star rating is only because the food is just ok. There were lots of food options, but like most buffets the food was just middle of the road. We all had a great time-I would definitely recommend this for a fun family evening!
