The company and kayaks never showed. 9 of us (unrelated) waited for a while hour at the drop off point and never got word from Sharkey's. We all called multiple times but finally just left.

It would have been alot better if the sandbar would have been above water. But other than that it was a fun experience!

This is more accurately a simple equipment rental. The area you kayak is super populated by boats so you have to be careful. We did a 2 person kayak. My husband’s seat did not snap in. Once you get to the mangroves, after going through a boat intersection, there is a cool (but very short- 2 minute) tunnel. There isn’t much wildlife due to the heavy boat traffic. Through the tunnel, you come out at essentially a boat tail gate party. Tons of loud music, party scene. We parked on the sandbar and sat for a while taking in all the boats and party scene. But, you feel like you need a beer in your hand and that you are missing 20 of your closest friends. Rust from the equipment stained everything I was wearing permanently. The advertising for this is misleading. It’s just an equipment rental, sign away all responsibility and hope you came to party.
