We were on time for our 4 hour ride, but had to wait 40 minutes for the 2 groups of 2 hour rides to go before us. Most people on out ride had riding experience. My horse Woodrow was more willful and less well behaved than the others. Snacking is a problem and I recommend making sure from the first minute not to allow it. The ride was challenging at times so be sure you can anticipate and handle your horse for those moments, to stay in the saddle. Most of The other horses were very well behaved. Our guide Zack was helpful in preparing us for steep steps mud and a stream. The views are beautiful. They provide a packed lunch with a Turkey sandwich fruit granola bar chips and a juice pack. I anticipated a food mismatch with my diet and brought my own lunch. The horses have saddle bags so itā€™s easy to carry with you. I highly recommend bringing your own water !!!! Please remember to TIP your guide, they get paid very little and we were the only ones who did it. Which I thought was rather unkind. Im sure they would all appreciate even the smallest of tips.

This experience was everything I hoped it would be! Super nice cowboy guide, great horse, and of course, all the spectacular views we wanted to see! This is a must do! By the way, we did the 2 hour ride.
