I went on the JFK tour with my mother yesterday. It was fabulous! ā€œDan the manā€ was such a great tour guide. I especially loved all his knowledge about all the different conspiracy theories. If you are in Dallas this is a must do!

Overall, this was a wonderful tour and I would recommend it. I would recommend going to the museum first or reading up on who the key players are prior to taking the tour as a little prep work to get the most out of the tour. I knew the basics about JKF and the assassination from school over 15 years ago so it would have been more helpful for me to review the museum prior to taking the tour so that I could have had a better understanding of all the players. The tour guide talked about people on a first name basis and as though everyone knows about how they relate to the story. Needless to say, I was pretty lost in the details for the first hour or so. My husband is a history buff and LOVED every minute of the 3.5 hour tour. He enjoyed the level of detail and highly recommends the tour. He was less interested in the museum because it was all stuff he already knew. We both enjoyed the museum because it is in the book repository and you get a view on the 6th floor from the inside of the building. When you combine the tour with the museum we ended up spending 4.5 hours and we didnā€™t completely finish the museum. By hour 3, I was on history overload. If you are just looking for a basic overview with someone to drive you around to the landmark sights this is not the tour for you, especially if you have children. If you enjoy history and details that you probably havenā€™t heard, you will love this tour.

I was a little skeptic when I first read about this tour. I found this exhibit very interesting especially when I was standing only several feet away from the corner window of the book depository that the Oswald used to shoot JFK; kind of eerie. The exhibit itself was also interesting and there is a great deal of footage and written history of the assassination. After reading all the evidence, still have doubts that Oswald was the lone gunman.
